Bautista comes under further criticism

No stranger to controversy this season, Alvaro Bautistas passing style has come in for fresh criticism this weekend from another 250cc rider; Northern Irish rookie Eugene Laverty.

No stranger to controversy this season, Alvaro Bautistas passing style has come in for fresh criticism this weekend from another 250cc rider; Northern Irish rookie Eugene Laverty.

The LCR Honda man was unhappy with a move made on him yesterday during the afternoon qualifying session, which resulted in Lavertys off-track excursion into the Catalunya gravel. He later commented on the incident, expressing surprise at Bautistas actions.

I dont understand why Bautista chopped across me under brakes, he was going 20 kph faster anyway, so this wasnt necessary for him to pass me. I hit the rear of his bike and was forced off the track.

Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo have also made formal complaints following separate incidents with the reigning 125cc World Champion at Shanghai and Mugello. Lorenzo this week answered questions on his clash with his countryman with a cool head, taking into account that Bautista is in his first season in the class.

Hes a good kid, and I know that the mistakes he is making are the same kind that I used to make in my first year in the category, but he has to realise that he is being aggressive. I would expect an apology, and then we would be ok again, said Lorenzo.
