After another difficult race in his title defence, reigning MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden will look to tyre and chassis development for improvement in the next two days of testing.

Speaking to motogp.com after the race, the American indicated that he had experienced something of a false dawn this morning.

I thought we were onto something this morning, but I think the tyre must have spun off the rim because it was difficult to ride. It was just a miserable race really; looking not to lose positions stated The Kentucky Kid.

Always keen to put in the hours on the testing track, Hayden will put in laps both tomorrow and Tuesday at the Circuit de Catalunya, working closely with both Honda and Michelin.

Well be testing a lot of tyres, and also the new chassis coming in. I hope that its useful, because I could sure use something right now, concluded the downbeat champion.
