Harold Bartols 2007 project finally came good in the 125cc category on Sunday, with new senior team additions Tomoyoshi Koyama and Randy Krummenacher. Koyama took his first World Championship victory ahead of Gabor Talmacsi, who in turn managed to edge out the Japanese riders team-mate Krummenacher.

For Red Bull KTM boss Harold Bartol, the lower cylinder class race was one of his most memorable moments in his time in the World Championship, and he was particularly pleased with the performance of his young Swiss protégé.

I was really happy with both riders today, and I think that Randy was the wake up call for Koyama in the race, he explained. We knew that the bike was going well, and in the last few races Koyama has been happy with the results, so it took a junior rider to push him more.

It was good for Randy, because young kids just need this one result to know that they can do it, added Bartol, before turning his attention to the 250cc class.

Mika Kallio had some problems with the crank shaft on Saturday, but for me the important thing is to give the riders confidence and not have them thinking about the mechanical side. Hiroshi Aoyama as well got his confidence back on the front end, concluded the Austrian.
