Six riders stay on in Catalunya for day two of testing

Just six riders remain at the Circuit de Catalunya today to carry out a second day of MotoGP testing.

Just six riders remain at the Circuit de Catalunya today to carry out a second day of MotoGP testing. Weather at the track is the same as it has been for the past week, with glorious sunshine and scorching heat beating down on Nicky Hayden, Casey Stoner, Chris Vermeulen, Loris Capirossi, Nobuatsu Aoki and Shinichi Itoh as they put their 800cc machines through their paces for a final day of testing.

Of the sextet, MotoGP World Champion Hayden is the only Michelin riders present on day two. The manufacturer had lined up the majority of their riders on-track yesterday to complete marathon sessions, including new Michelin tester Andrew Pitt, but today Hayden was left to shoulder the development of the next generation of rubber by himself. Bridgestone have kept their own specialist tyre tester Shinichi Itoh on to continue their work.

Complete times from the closing testing session will be available this afternoon on motogp.com.
