The Red Bull MotoGP Academy riders had a difficult time this weekend at the Circuito de Jerez, competing in the third race of the CEV Buckler Spanish Championship season. After positive practice sessions, Jonas Folger and Takaaki Nakagami both crashed out in the early stages of the race, ending their race and leaving them out of the points.

Folger had made a good start to the race, and stuck with the second group following the leading trio, but two laps in he collided with Enrique Jerez and both were forced out of the race.

Nakagami suffered his misfortune on lap four, in the same place as Folger. Both will return to action in Valencia next month for the fourth round of action.
