Alvaro Bautista this weekend visits one of his favourite circuits on the MotoGP calendar, Donington Park having yielded some excellent results for him in the past.

On English soil in 2003 the young Spanish rider took his first ever 125cc World Championship points and a year later the visit to Britain saw him mount the podium for the first time ever, when he finished second.

In 2005 he crashed out in the rain after five laps when another podium looked well within his grasp, but last year he bounced back at the Leicestershire track to take one of his eight victories en route to the single cylinder World title.

Having since made a good start to his 250cc career the 22 year-old Master Mapfre Aspar rider therefore arrives at the Nickel & Dime British Grand Prix aiming to add to his 2007 World Championship points tally of 100 after being disappointed not to mount the podium when he finished fifth at the last round in Barcelona.

Im approaching this weekend, as always, hoping to do well. I have some great memories from this circuit where I have always done pretty well. I have some extra motivation to do a good job after not having great race in Montmelo, where I hoped for a better result in front of the home fans, stated Bautista.

As always Ill also be looking to do a good job from the first moment of free practice on Friday, to ensure that the bike is set-up as well as possible. We are waiting to see what the weather will be like because it can change so quickly in England and could be a determining factor for the race.
