The three men on the front row of the Donington grid give their post-qualifying views ahead of Sunday's MotoGP Nickel & Dime British Grand Prix race.

Colin Edwards Fiat Yamaha (pole position, 1'28.531s)
"Yesterday was unbelievable, but today it all worked out pretty good. We started the session and it looked like it could or could not rain and it held off. The qualifying session was typical, we went out and tried some race tyres so thanks to Michelin for bringing some good race tyres for me. So anyway I felt comfortable when I got out there on my qualifying lap and I thought ok."

Valentino Rossi Fiat Yamaha (2nd, 1'28.677s)
"Second is ok after the disaster of this morning, especially with these difficult rules where if the tyre is cold it can be quite dangerous. But I'm quite happy this afternoon and the bike set-up is quite good."

Dani Pedrosa Repsol Honda (3rd, 1'28.863s)
"I think today it went quite well, we did a good job in the morning and in the afternoon. We had some small problems in the qualifying session with the qualifying tyres. But I'm happy to be on the front row."
