Under grey skies in the Netherlands the second day of action at the A-Style TT Assen got underway at 9.00am local time with the second 125cc practice session of the weekend resulting in Bancaja Aspar's Sergio Gadea taking the top slot on the timesheet by just one thousandth of a second.

The 22 year-old Spaniard who took victory at Le Mans just over a month ago and currently sits fourth in the World Championship rankings recorded the highest top speed of this morning's session (208.5 km/h) and put in a time of 1'45.344s on the 20th of 21 laps - just 0.001s quicker than that of provisional pole man Mattia Pasini (Polaris World) who was second quickest.

Behind the leading pair on the timesheet were Skilled Racing Team's Simone Corsi (0.358s off the pace), Gadea's Aspar team-mate Gabor Talmacsi (0.459s behind his team-mate) and Ajo Motorsport's Michael Ranseder (0.872s off Gadea).

There were minor crashes for sixth fastest participant Sandro Cortese (Emmi – Caffe Latte Aprilia), eighth quickest Lukas Pesek (Valsir Seedorf Derbi) and ninth fastest Randy Krummenacher (Red Bull KTM 125), though they each appeared to escape without injury.
