Rossi releases new helmet hit

Fiat Yamaha riders Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards attracted attention yesterday at the Assen Circuit with their new Italian flag themed livery and leathers, but the kitsch get-up was only fully completed with their re-appearance for this mornings free practice session for the A-Style TT Assen.

With the 70s style leathers perhaps lacking something to fully fit the mood, Rossi got his designer Aldo Drudi on the case and chose today as the day to release his latest hit: a 45 vinyl record on the lid of his helmet, and a sprawling motif on the back featuring Valentino Rossi and the Chihuahua band.

Performing live at Assen, the Yamaha factory duo have been amongst the frontrunners at the Dutch circuit, where Edwards came so close to taking his first MotoGP win last year.
