Views from the Assen MotoGP podium The three podium finishers from the MotoGP race at the A-Style TT Assen reflect on their respective success stories at the ninth round of the World Championship:

Valentino Rossi Fiat Yamaha (winner, 42'37.149)
"It was a great race, today everything worked well. For sure starting from 11th position I was quite worried, but I know that with these conditions we are fast and today we improved the setting, my Yamaha worked very well."

Casey Stoner Ducati Marlboro (2nd, 42'39.058)
"I was able to watch a little bit of the race on the screens around the track and I could see that Valentino was coming through pretty fast and I was just keeping the best pace I could. Nice and consistent, not making any mistakes. But once he came past that was it, I was at my maximum and Valentino obviously had a lot left."

Nicky Hayden Repsol Honda (3rd, 42'43.226)
"It's really nice to get back and get a good result today. It was just fun to be up front, I got a great start. After qualifying 13th I knew I had to fight like a dog those first few laps and try to get up there. Anyway, big thanks to my team, everyone at Repsol Honda and Michelin for not giving up on me."
