Repsol Honda 250cc and 125cc teams test at Brno

Following the ninth race of the season last Saturday at the A-Style TT Assen the Repsol Honda 125cc and 250cc teams moved straight on to the Czech circuit of Brno for some important mid-season tests.

The riders and mechanics present were all aiming to make improvements before the next round of the season in Germany on 15th July, and in particular for the race which follows that when they return to Brno in August.

The Repsol Honda teams used the Czech circuit on Wednesday to gather extra data and experiment with new settings with just over half the season gone. They were slightly hindered by rain in the morning though conditions improved in the afternoon.

Julian Simon, currently sixth in the 250cc World Championship standings, tried various options to try to achieve a more comfortable riding position, whilst on the other side of the garage team-mate Shuhei Aoyama focused on improving his riding style.

Esteve Rabat also took advantage of the opportunity to notch up the practice miles and try out different settings on his 125cc machinery as he looks to improve on his current position of 14th in the general standings. Rabats injured 125cc colleague Bradley Smith missed the test as he continues to recover from his Assen crash.
