Casey Stoner Ducati Marlboro
"I'm looking forward to this race more than I was last year. The track itself seems to have improved; I noticed that the surface looks to be in a lot better condition when I went round with the scooter. I can't really complain about this season, whatever happens in the last nine races. We're all doing the best job that we can."

Valentino Rossi Fiat Yamaha
"Last year's race was fantastic, with a great battle to the end after starting low down on the grid. The 990cc was too slow here, so maybe the 800cc will work better, but the tyres seem to be the more important factor. The edge is under a lot of stress, so the choice we make will be crucial."

Dani Pedrosa Repsol Honda
"It was a very funny race for us last year. Now we are working to improve our pace on the bike. We went well here with the 250cc, so we will see whether this is good for the 800cc."

Alex Hofmann Pramac d'Dantin
"Not all our results have been perfect this year, but it's been a great season. This weekend is big for me, but I'm not 100% because I damaged a bone in the middle of my hand. I had surgery on Saturday, so I hope that the race isn't too painful."

Randy de Puniet Kawasaki Racing
"The last race was not so good. We've had a better season this year, but four DNFs in nine races isn't good. My goal now is to finish every race. I will be fixed for next year in the next 15 days to a month."
