Bancaja Aspar rider Gabor Talmacsi picked up on Saturday morning where he left off on Friday afternoon, leading the way ahead of his 125cc rivals in the second free practice session of the Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland weekend.

The 26 year-old from Budapest, who currently sits second in the single cylinder World Championship standings just seven points behind leader and team-mate Hector Faubel, took provisional pole yesterday afternoon with a new circuit best lap and maintained his strong pace this morning as he lapped the Sachsenring circuit in 1'27.198s.

Second fastest, meanwhile, was fellow Eastern European Lukas Pesek (Valsir Seedorf Derbi) who went round just 0.289s slower than Talmacsi. The Czech youngster will aim to improve on his provisional grid position of sixth in the afternoon's second qualifying session.

Just below Pesek on the morning timesheet was Skilled Racing Team's Simone Corsi, who recorded a best lap of 0.353s behind Talmacsi's, while the top five was completed by Mattia Pasini (Polaris World) and Hector Faubel (Bancaja Aspar).

Further down the timesheet Sergio Gadea (Bancaja Aspar), Randy Krummenacher (Red Bull KTM 125), Bradley Smith (Repsol Honda), Pol Espargaro (Belson Campetella Aprilia) and Pablo Nieto (Blusens Aprilia) all featured in the top ten.
