Bancaja Aspar's Gabor Talmacsi this afternoon confirmed 125cc pole for the Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland at Sachsenring with lap of 1'26.839s which saw him top the timesheet by a margin of nearly half a second over his nearest rival.

The 26 year-old from Budapest again recorded a new circuit best lap on the 14th of his 15 qualifying laps, keeping him 0.416s ahead of second fastest participant Mattia Pasini (Polaris World).

Talmacsi's Aspar colleague Hector Faubel, the current World Championship leader, will also line up on the front row after qualifying third – while British youngster Bradley Smith did well to achieve fourth as he makes his comeback from his Assen injuries.

Meanwhile, Czech starlet Lukas Pesek (Valsir Seedorf Derbi), home rider Sandro Cortese (Emmi Caffe Latte), 20 year old Italian Simone Corsi (Skilled Racing Team) and Swiss youngster Randy Krummenacher (Red Bull KTM 125) will all start from the second row.
