2500 The 250cc contest at Brno will be the 2500th World Championship Grand Prix race held for solo motorcycles. Before the Czech visit the split by class is as follows: MotoGP/500cc 673, 350cc 281, 250cc 677, 125cc 648, 80/50cc 219.

116 The highest points total achieved in a single season by a rider of the Suzuki four-stroke MotoGP machine (John Hopkins 2006). Both Chris Vermeulen and John Hopkins could surpass this total at Brno.

100 There have been 100 premier-class races since Yamaha riders last filled all three podium places at the German Grand Prix of 2001 when Max Biaggi won from Carlos Checa and Shinya Nakano. Norick Abe finished fourth in the same race, also riding a Yamaha.

49 Honda have been the most successful manufacturer since the introduction of the four-stroke MotoGP rules and now need just one more victory to reach the half-century milestone since the start of 2002.

30 Andrea Dovizioso has finished in the points at the last thirty successive races. The last time he failed to score points was at the Malaysian GP in 2005 when he fell on the first lap. The only rider who has had a longer sequence of successive point scoring finishes in the 250cc class is Luca Cadalora who scored points at 34 successive races in the 1990/91/92 seasons.

21 - Marco Melandri has finished in the top ten at the last twenty one successive races since he was involved in the first corner crash at Catalunya last year.

14 Jorge Lorenzo has won 14 races in the 250cc class. One more victory make him equal to the most successful Spanish riders of all-time in the 250cc class - Sito Pons and Dani Pedrosa, who both won 15 GP races in the class.

8 In eight of the eleven MotoGP races this year there have been three different manufacturers represented on the podium.

3 Kawasaki had three riders finish in the top ten at Laguna Seca, before the summer break. The last time that Kawasaki achieved this feat was in France in 1973 when Christian Leon finished fourth, Eric Offenstadt was seventh and Jean-Francois Balde was eighth.
