Having recently turned 24 and with 92 Grands Prix under his belt, the experienced Bancaja Aspar rider Hector Faubel is currently in second place in the 125cc World Championship and battling for his first title in six years of regular riding.

In a short interview, the Spanish competitor gave his thoughts on the title fight with category leader and team-mate Gabor Talmacsi, whom he trails by just two points in the general classification - with less than half the season to go.

With ten races gone and seven to go, what is your approach in the title race?
The same as it has been all season, just thinking about each race as it comes. We dont have a specific approach other than trying to be consistent at every Grand Prix and not making mistakes.

Do you feel under pressure going into the next series of races?
So far things have gone well for us, weve been consistent and knowing that helps to keep me cool. It looks fairly clear that the title fight is going to be between me and Talmacsi, but with seven races to go we cant let our guards down as there are other good riders behind us.

Two wins, two seconds and three thirds what else can you achieve this season?
In order to win the title you shouldnt be off the podium in any race. Weve done well so far and after ten races weve had two victories, two second places and three thirds, while in Barcelona I was unlucky when I came off and in the other two we had problems with the bike. In terms of what else can I achieve Ill try to win whenever I can. Were heading to several tracks that I like and our batteries are recharged as we head to Brno.

Who are your main rivals in your view?
Well, the main ones are Talmacsi and Tomoyoshi Koyama, but Lukas Pesek, Sergio Gadea and Mattia Pasini cant be ruled out. There are still plenty of races to go and lots of points to play for, so we cant switch off.
