Ahead of tomorrow's opening practice sessions in the Czech Republic, five MotoGP riders took to the press conference room to speak with the gathered media.

Casey Stoner

"It was good to get back home and in shape for the last part of the season, and it seems that the Australian public are really getting behind me. I'm ready for the final races, and I'm hoping to take the fight a step further. In the past 12 sessions I've been fastest 11 times, so I hope I can quickly get into the rhythm here, even though I know that it will be hard work.

"Here is one of my favourite circuits alongside Mugello and Phillip Island. It's getting a bit bumpy, but it's not so bad. I'm confident in myself to finish the job."

Loris Capirossi

"After Germany I had a good feeling. I have a little extra motivation to do well in my last races for Ducati, and also I am a professional. Brno has always been a good circuit for me, so I have a good opportunity to do well here."

Chris Vermeulen

"I'd like to continue my form from previous races here at Brno. The track has a lot of character and I really enjoy riding here and I can't wait to get back into things. I just chilled out over the summer and did a little whale watching back home.

"It was good to get my future sorted early, and I am sure it was the right choice. Suzuki are continually improving, with the bike, the team and myself all making steps forward."

Toni Elias

"It has been a difficult two months, with myself training many hours everyday. My leg is at about 60%, but it is good for me and the team for me to come back and show people that Toni Elias is still in MotoGP. I felt pain testing the Honda CBR at Misano this week, but I can still ride."

Dani Pedrosa

"Unfortunately we have had some tyre problems in recent races, something that I hope has been fixed. I liked the track when I rode a 125cc round here; it's one that you can enjoy. Things can change in the last 7 races, so we will see."
