From the Brno paddock at the Cardion ab Grand Prix Ceske republiky, Suzuki have announced that main sponsor Rizla will continue its association with the MotoGP team in 2008.

Rizlas one-year extension of its title sponsorship agreement will see the Suzuki GSV-R 800cc prototype continue to sport the present distinctive blue livery next season, in a continuation of the current successful two-year partnership the pair have already enjoyed.

As Suzuki make plans to continue their progress in 2008, following the recent announcements of Chris Vermeulens contract renewal and the recruitment of Loris Capirossi from Ducati, the extended sponsorship deal is another positive step.

Suzukis racing relationship with Rizla developed in the 1980s and MotoGP legend Kevin Schwantz made his Grand Prix debut on a Rizla-backed RG500 in 1986.

Fumihiro Oonishi, Suzuki Racing Department Group Leader, explained: Suzuki is delighted to be entering into another years partnership with Rizla. We have had a good relationship over the past two seasons and Suzuki has benefited from Rizlas strong marketing activity during that time.

The Rizla blue has become a unique colour in MotoGP and is now also instantly recognisable as a part of the Suzuki image as well. Suzuki is very excited to be renewing its sponsorship agreement and we look forward to further success together.
