Heading into the twelfth race of the season this weekend at the Cardion ab Grand Prix Ceske republiky Casey Stoner will be aiming to maintain the form which saw him build up a remarkable 44 point World Championship lead before the summer break.

Stoner has been re-writing the record books on almost a race by race basis in his superb debut season with Ducati so far and will be determined to keep making history in the final seven races of 2007.

Below motogp.com looks at the milestones achieved by the talented 21 year-old Australian already this season:

- Stoners debut MotoGP victory in Qatar made him the youngest ever Australian rider to win in the premier-class, taking the record from Daryl Beattie.

- Stoner also became the first Australian rider to win in all three current Grand Prix classes.

- His Qatar success was also the first win at the Losail circuit for both Ducati and Bridgestone tyres.

- Stoner also became the fourth youngest rider of all time to win Grand Prix races in three different classes.

- Following the win in Qatar, Stoner was of course leading the World Championship classification for the first time and was the first Australian to top the standings since Garry McCoy did so after the opening two races of the 2000 season.

- After his victory in Qatar Stoner was also the youngest rider to lead the standings in the premier-class since Freddie Spencer back in 1983.

- His win in Turkey was the first for both Ducati and Bridgestone at the Istanbul circuit.

- The victory in China made Stoner the third youngest rider ever to take back-to-back victories in the premier-class; only Spencer and Johnny Cecotto have achieved this at a younger age. This was also the first victory for both Ducati and Bridgestone at the Shanghai circuit.

- His fourth win of the year in Catalunya resulted in Stoner having won more races in a single season for Ducati than any other rider and more wins in a single season than any other rider using Bridgestone tyres.

- His win in Britain was the first for both Ducati and Bridgestone at the Donington circuit.

- Stoners win at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix was only the second in the premier-class for a non-American rider at Laguna Seca.

- The US win was also the first at Laguna Seca for both Ducati and Bridgestone.

- At Laguna, Stoner won the race from pole and also took the fastest lap, as well as topping the tables in all three free practice sessions and the Sunday morning warm-up session. Only two other riders have achieved this during the four-stroke MotoGP era; Alex Barros in Portugal in 2005 and Valentino Rossi at Phillip Island in 2003 and Jerez in 2002.
