Ryuichi Kiyonari leads the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, after a day of racing at Cadwell Park marked by two nasty crashes by Leon Camier.

Leon Haslam was the winner of race one at the English circuit, beating Kiyonari by over two seconds, with Tom Sykes taking the third rostrum place. Title challenger Jonathan Rea was taken out by Camier in the latter's first incident of the day, which ruled the former out of a podium finish.

Camier brought a stop to proceedings in race two, when he suffered an horrific accident on lap eight which forced the safety car out for three laps. A broken femur and dislocated knee were suffered by one of the BSB championship's young stars, with surgery to take place at Lincoln Hospital today.

After the crash, Rea pulled away from the field to leave team-mate Kiyonari again settling for second, whilst Gregorio Lavilla completed the podium spots.
