One of the more successful manufacturers in the lower cylinder categories this season, KTM will have an increased presence on the 125cc grid next year after sealing a deal to provide bikes for an additional trio of teams.

Speaking after the race at Misano, where Red Bull KTM were on the podium in 125cc and 250cc courtesy of Tomoyoshi Koyama and Hiroshi Aoyama respectively, KTM's Harald Bartol revealed more details on the 2008 project.

"In 125cc we have just closed a deal with three teams to give them bikes," commented Bartol to motogp.com. At least one of the new KTM machines is expected to go to a team currently riding with Honda in the lowest category.

"We are expecting to add one more rider in 250cc, so we are getting a little bit bigger," he added when questioned about the quarter litre class plans. "Right now we are nearly there with the bike, so I am looking forward to next year."

In the exclusive interview, Bartol also gives his assessment of the most recent round of the championship.
