After the amazing performance of Alvaro Bautista in the 125cc class last year, which saw him cruise to his first World title win, Jorge Martinez Aspars team are again dominating the single cylinder championship in 2007.

On this occasion however it is a two way battle between Bancaja Aspars Gabor Talmacsi and Hector Faubel at the head of the stadings, with the two riders raising the temperature in the title fight with each Grand Prix that passes.

The lead in the general standings alternates between the front-running pair and the consistently tight margins which separate them on race weekends are making for a mouth watering conclusion to the season.

At present the Hungarian Talmacsi is top of the pile, leading the way by ten points over his team-mate from Valencia as a result of his second place at Misano, coupled by Faubels crash which cost him a point scoring finish on Italys Adriatic coast.

Faubel hit the deck in the final stages of Sundays race when he collided with Skilled Racing Teams Simone Corsi as the pair fought for podium spots with Talmacsi.

At the next round of the 2007 World Championship, Faubel will look to bounce straight back and regain control in the title race at the Portuguese track of Estoril where he has finished second on his last two visits.
