D'Antin looking to confirm 2008 line up soon

Pramac d'Antin Ducati are one of the few teams still to name their riders for 2008, with both spots in the satellite outfit still to be decided. A variety of riders have been linked with a move to Luis d'Antin's MotoGP project, although the final decision will not just be made by the Spaniard.

"Of course, I have to respect the wishes of our sponsors, and also those of our factory which is Ducati. I would like to have sealed our 2008 line up already, but anyway we are going to try and have it done for Portugal," commented d'Antin after the race at Misano.

The visit to Estoril will be an important race for the current incarnation of d'Antin Ducati, with Alex Barros returning to the scene of his last MotoGP victory. However, after a disappointing San Marino Grand Prix, the team recognise the need to step up a gear if they are to achieve their goals.

"Portugal is an important Grand Prix, where we think that we have a very good chance of achieving a top result. We will have to make an internal shift to improve the quality of our work, at a mechanical and rider level, and in Estoril fight for the top five at the least."
