Following the decision of the Blusens Aprilia 250cc team to swap the machinery used by their respective riders, the younger of their two World Championship participants - Aleix Espargaro - has commented on his experience of riding the Aprilia RSW 250 Kit bike at Misano.

The teenage Espargaro has been moved onto the kit machinery, while his 21 year-old colleague Efren Vazquez has been upgraded as the principal rider in the team on the newer Aprilia LE 250.

In the first Grand Prix since the change in team policy, however, it was Catalan youngster Espargaro who enjoyed the better results as he qualified 13th and finished 12th – maintaining his top 15 World Championship standing – while Vazquez crossed the line 16th after staring in 21st place on the grid.

At the conclusion of the Gran Premio Cinzano di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, Espargaro told motogp.com: "The other bike was lighter and better on corner entry. The bike I'm using now weighs more so you feel more tired at the end of the race. You have to constantly push it right to the limit but it was still enjoyable to ride. There is not a huge difference in the performance level of the engines."
