The Ducati factory team garage was a scene of elation after Casey Stoner's eighth victory of the 2007 season, the Italian outfit's first MotoGP win on home soil after a four year wait. The current World Championship leader was welcomed with a rapturous applause by his mechanics, technicians and the rest of the Ducati ‘family', including Ducati Corse Technical Director Filippe Preziosi.

motogp.com was on hand to witness the celebrations, of which we present exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the team's toast to Stoner and immediate reactions.

Preziosi, who designed the desmodromic engine used by his Australian charge to power his way to victory, commented on the historic triumph at Misano, stating: "This is a very special event for us; we were waiting for this since 2003 when Loris had a huge battle with Rossi but eventually finished second. Now the dream is completed. I want to thank all the team and everyone in Ducati because they have been working so hard."
