The streets of Tokyo will be the scene a very special appearance by a number of MotoGP riders on September 19th, for an event of Godzilla-like proportions in the Japanese city.

The streets of Tokyo will be the scene a very special appearance by a number of MotoGP riders on September 19th, for an event of Godzilla-like proportions in the Japanese city.

Ahead of the A-Style Grand Prix of Japan, nine World Championship stars and five 800cc machines will be visiting Shinjuku Station Square - to take part in a public talk show and sign autographs for what is expected to be a huge turnout of fans.

Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Shinya Nakano, Chris Vermeulen, Colin Edwards, Makoto Tamada, Anthony West, Randy de Puniet and Carlos Checa have been confirmed for the event, which takes place the Wednesday before MotoGP's latest visit to Motegi.

Shinjuku Station Square is situated in front of busiest train station in the world in terms of passengers, used by 3.31 million people per day at the last count.

The five bikes will be onstage from 11am, with the riders joining the action from 5pm in an appearance scheduled to last two hours.
