Bradl to ride with Blusens Aprilia until end of 2007

The excellent performances of the young German rider Stefan Bradl in his handful of Blusens Aprilia wildcard appearances this season have earned him the chance to further prove himself, thanks to a guaranteed ride with the Spanish team in the final five Grands Prix of the year.

The Aprilia outfit have offered Bradl a regular ride after deciding to part ways with Dutchman Hugo van den Berg - who left the team by mutual agreement after the last round of the World Championship less than a fortnight ago in Italy.

In three of his four wildcard appearances Bradl has managed top ten finishes, impressing observers with his riding ability at Catalunya, Assen and Misano – the San Marino Grand Prix yielding seventh place for the 17 year-old.

The final quintet of 2007 races now give Bradl the chance to gain further experience before he joins Kiefer Racing for a permanent ride next season.

"I'm really pleased to be coming into the World Championship," states Bradl, "it's big news for me and I'm really happy about this opportunity. It's a great chance to keep learning ahead of next year when I'll be riding full-time. I can get to know tracks like Australia and Japan where I've never been before, so that should be very useful experience for next season."

"I also think it's a good decision for the team because I'm confident of getting good results, which would be just as positive for me as for Blusens Aprilia, who I want to thank for giving me this break."

"I hope I can do a good job and I'll give my very best to get more results like at Misano. In fact the bike I'm inheriting from Hugo is a bit better than what the wildcards use so I should be able to finish even higher."
