Reigning MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden is maintaining an upbeat attitude despite his bad luck at Misano. Acknowledging that now he has no pressure and can try to enjoy riding again, the American is looking forward to a hopefully incident-free race in Portugal with the expectation that Michelin can get back on track.

We´re keeping on fighting to be competitive with the tyres, but crying like kids isnt going to help us at all. I believe that we can get the most out of what we have at the moment, and with a bit of luck to get out of the first few laps safely we can do well. The five remaining races will be tough though, said Hayden to motogp.com yesterday.

Im just a rider, and I dont make the tyre rules, so I have to adapt. I just hope that we can have some even races again, because that is what the fans truly want. Thats what has put MotoGP on the map, the closeness in the final laps.
