The three riders on the front row of Sunday's grid for the bwin.com Grande Premio de Portugal give their reactions to Saturday afternoon's MotoGP qualifying session:
Nicky Hayden Repsol Honda
"Obviously this year has been tough so it's really nice to be on pole and have something to be happy about. The qualifying tyre worked awesome, I've never had so much grip, so just a big thanks to all the boys."
Casey Stoner Ducati Marlboro
"We're quite happy with the set-up we've got. We just need to refine it a bit in the morning I suppose and we'll see what happens. We were close to another pole position and things seem to be going quite well for us this year."
Valentino Rossi Fiat Yamaha
"We're going faster in every practice and we have quite a good rhythm for the race. It will be a difficult race for us, for sure in the second half, but the Michelins are working quite well and the Hondas are good so maybe tomorrow we'll be closer to Casey."
