Webb delighted with first World Championship points

One rider who has had a tough time as of late in the 125cc class, rookie Danny Webb had reason to celebrate on Sunday when he racked up his first ever World Championship points.

One rider who has had a tough time as of late in the 125cc class, rookie Danny Webb had reason to celebrate on Sunday when he racked up his first ever World Championship points.

An intelligent ride by the 16 year-old Brit, combined with a large number of his 125cc rivals coming unstuck in the tricky conditions, took Webb up to 13th in the race from 29th on the grid. The De Graaf racer spoke to motogp.com in buoyant spirits after his most successful race of the year.

Its just what I needed, explained Webb. Ive been struggling a bit recently with motivation, and these past two races things have been getting better. Estoril (where he finished 20th) was a good start, and now to get my first points is a real boost. I know that I was maybe a bit lucky today, but thats racing and weve had some bad luck ourselves this season.
