Davies comments on Pramac d'Antin return

Back in the MotoGP paddock for the first time since his one-off appearance at Laguna Seca, Chaz Davies this week makes the first of three season-concluding races as a substitute rider for Pramac d'Antin.

The British rider was the strong favourite to participate in the final four races of 2007 after the acrimonious parting of ways between the team and Alex Hofmann, but sat out the race in Japan in order to recover from an elbow injury suffered at his Ducati test in Mugello. Shinichi Itoh was given the nod for the last round, but Davies now has a chance to impress further on the Desmosedici GP7.

"Once again, it was a total shock to be given this opportunity, with the situation with Alex Hofmann after Estoril. I'm just looking forward to getting on the bike and seeing how it goes," said Davies to motogp.com.

"My elbow is doing good; not 100% better yet but good enough. I learnt a lot from being at that test in Mugello, and I understand the bike a lot better. I've always liked Phillip Island, so it should be a good weekend," concluded the 20 year-old.
