World Champion Jorge Lorenzo (Fortuna Aprilia) was again the quickest rider in the quarter litre class FP2 session as his time of 207.919s kept him ahead of his rivals, having taken provisional pole yesterday.

Lorenzos best lap was a significant improvement on the time which put him at the head of the grid overnight and closed within a second of Sebastian Portos three year old circuit best lap.

A top three of Spanish Aprilia riders was completed by Hector Barbera (Team Toth Aprilia) and Alvaro Bautista (Master Mapfre Aspar), while Finn Mika Kallio (Red Bull KTM) and Swiss rider Thomas Lüthi (Emmi Caffe Latte) also featured in the top five.

Andrea Dovizioso (Kopron Team Scot) was down in eighth place, 0.911s behind Lorenzo, with Julian Simon (Repsol Honda) and Hiroshi Aoyama (Red Bull KTM) sixth and seventh respectively.
