Once the real action gets underway on Sunday as World Championship leader Talmacsi and local rider Faubel do battle for the title Gadeas only team brief is likely to be to steer clear of his fellow Aspar riders, but on Saturday morning he reminded the paddock of his own pace with a lap of 139.765s to top the timesheet.

Just behind him by 0.088s Talmacsi continued his solid preparations for tomorrows showdown, while Polaris Worlds Mattia Pasini and Repsol Hondas talented British teenager Bradley Smith were third and fourth respectively.

Lapping fifth quickest was provisional poleman Faubel who will look to confirm his position at the head of the grid this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Valsir Seedorf Derbis Lukas Pesek, Blusens Aprilias Pablo Nieto, Polaris Worlds Joan Olive, Skilled Racing Teams Simone Corsi and Emmi - Caffe Latte Aprilias Sandro Cortese also featured in the top ten.
