As the 250cc action for 2007 was wrapped up at the Gran Premio bwin.com de la Comunitat Valenciana the trio of quarter litre class competitors who made it onto the podium at the Spanish circuit, Mika Kallio, Alex de Angelis, Alex Debon, spoke to motogp.com.

Mika Kallio Red Bull KTM (winner, 43'28.349s)
"When (Alvaro) Bautista crashed I could see the chance to catch the front guys and I overtook when I had the chance, so that I could build up a little gap on the last lap. A big thanks to my team because they've done a great job and this was a great way to end the season."

Alex de Angelis Master – Mapfre Aspar (2nd, 43'28.720s)
"I only got second but it's a great result as I've been through a tough time and I wanted to leave the 250cc class on a high. We saw in the last few races that the KTM came back very strongly and at the end of the race, Kallio was just quicker; I wanted to try building the gap but it wasn't to be. I'm happy anyway and I'd like to thank Aprilia and the whole team."

Alex Debon Aprilia Racing (3rd, 43'35.210s)
"I'm very happy to be here. We worked a lot throughout the weekend and had a few electronic glitches with the new bike but in the end it all went fine. Anyway this result is a great reward for all the work we did this year developing a champioship winning bike. I'd like to thank Aprilia and Fortuna for their support and especially the team and Dani Amatriain who give me the once in a lifetime opportunity to ride this bike for a full season next year."
