Following numerous rider transfers between the premier class teams and the promotion of the cream of the 250cc crop to MotoGP, this will be the first opportunity for several World Championship stars to familiarise themselves with new machinery and new pit-boxes.

An expectant group of journalists in Valencia who have stayed on from Sunday will get their first chance to see Marco Melandri onboard the Ducati Desmosedici prototype, while Loris Capirossi starts in his new role with Rizla Suzuki. John Hopkins links up with Kawasaki and Toni Elías joins new team-mate Sylvain Guintoli in the Alice Team the new Luis d´ Antin set-up.

One of the most anticipated sights will be double 250cc World Champion Jorge Lorenzo, lapping on the Yamaha M1, though he wont be able to ask new colleague Valentino Rossi for any MotoGP tips quite yet, as the Italian is absent from the test as a result of the fractures to his right hand and wrist sustained on Saturday.

In addition Dani Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden will get their first chances to try the 2008 Repsol Honda RC212V prototype, with some significant changes expected from HRC.
