The winner of the Gran Premio bwin.com de la Comunitat Valenciana, Dani Pedrosa was back on track on Tuesday and Wednesday to undertake a series of runs. The Spaniard, who clinched second place in the MotoGP World Championship last Sunday courtesy of his victory and Valentino Rossis DNF in the race, had his first chance to try out the 2008 Honda RC212V at the test.

We were able to try the new bike, and also did some tests with the old one. We also tyre tested, so the day was a varied one, explained Pedrosa, who clocked a best time of 132.718 over the course of the day. Now we have to do the analysis and see what the positives and negatives are.

The 21 year-olds new machine seems is slightly larger than the 2007 model, although Pedrosa does not think that this will adversely affect him.

The feel of the new bike is quite different both in terms of the engine characteristics and the riding position. From the outside it looks bigger and it is a bit bigger - but its still OK for me, concluded the Repsol Honda rider.
