The Jerez circuit in southern Spain will be a busy place over the next fortnight, with the final MotoGP tests of 2007 to take place there at the end of November, preceded by three days of quarter litre and single cylinder testing next week.

The 250cc and 125cc tests will run from Monday (19th November) to Wednesday (21st) and will see a number of riders getting their first outings with new teams and new machinery.

Italian star Mattia Pasini remains with Polaris World for the 2008 season but moves up to the 250cc championship and next week will see him lapping on his new Aprilia bike for the forthcoming campaign. Meanwhile, Bradley Smith is to remain in 125cc but makes the switch from Honda to Aprilia as he joins Polaris World - and the promising English teenager will test with his new team in Jerez.

Like Pasini, 125cc World Championship runner-up Hector Faubel stays with the same team but goes up a level for 2007 and is set to test alongside existing Aspar 250 rider and compatriot Alvaro Bautista. Meanwhile World title holder Gabor Talmacsi and Sergio Gadea will be present for Jorge Martinez Aspar's outfit as they make their preparations for another 125cc campaign.

In the same class Simone Corsi will get his first experience of working for new team WRB in Jerez, under the management of Josep Criville and Manuel Burillo, partnered by Nico Terol.

There will also be a large presence of KTM riders, with Hiroshi Aoyama, Mika Kallio and new recruit Julian Simon on their 250 bikes, whilst Pablo Nieto, Esteve Rabat, Lorenzo Zanetti and Tomoyoshi Koyama will be testing KTM 125 machines.

Double World Champion Manuel Poggiali is expected to return to Grand Prix next season in the 250cc category and is also scheduled to run in Jerez with Campetella Racing.
