. Following rain early in the day another storm around noon left water on the track and with winds adding to the treacherous conditions most teams decided to play it safe, especially with several riders still in the early stages of testing new bikes for 2008.

There were very brief appearances by Karel Abraham, Thomas Lüthi and Lorenzo Zanetti before the weather worsened, but a number of riders and their teams of mechanics had returned to their hotels early by the end of the afternoon, hoping for kinder weather tomorrow before testing concludes for the winter for the smaller cylinder categories.

However, with the weather forecast suggesting more rain is a high probability on Wednesday it could prove to be another frustrating day, whilst observers from the MotoGP class will hope that Jerez provides them with brighter and clearer conditions next week in their final test of the year (27-29 November).
