Di Meglio relishing new challenge

New Ajo Motorsport recruit Mike di Meglio returns to Aprilia machinery for the 2008 season after three years on a Honda and the Frenchman is excited about the challenges ahead of him in the new year.

The 19 year-old from Toulose undertook initial tests on his new factory Aprilia RSA last week in Jerez and was in an enthusiastic mood after the visit to the southern Spanish track, despite admitting that his new bike is a total change from his 2007 Kopron Team Scot Honda.

"It is a completely different bike to the Honda, so I'll have to change my riding style to suit the new machine. The biggest change is notable on the approaches to corners. But I'm really looking forward to training on it again and getting myself in good shape for the first race," Di Meglio told motogp.com.

The 2008 campaign will see Di Meglio form a partnership with Dominique Aegerter, who has also be signed up for a full time ride with Ajo Motorsport.
