Hopkins ties the knot in Las Vegas

Whilst many riders have been winding down during the testing embargo in place during December, Kawasaki's John Hopkins was instead preparing for one of the biggest moments of his year.

Whilst many riders have been winding down during the testing embargo in place during December, Kawasaki's John Hopkins was instead preparing for one of the biggest moments of his year. The Anglo-American, who finished fourth in the MotoGP World Championship in 2007, became a married man last weekend in Las Vegas.

Tying the knot with fiancée Ashleigh, Hopkins cut a dapper figure in an all-white ensemble at the Hard Rock Hotel. The ceremony was attended by some of the 24 year-old's friends from the MotoGP paddock, including Yamaha Tech3 rider Colin Edwards and 125cc competitor Stevie Bonsey.

The happy couple will spend their honeymoon in French Polynesia, following which Hopkins will be back on-track at the opening test of 2008 in Sepang.
