Red Bull MotoGP Academy riders Jonas Folger and Takaaki Nakagami were two of the standout riders at the CEV Buckler 125GP race in Albacete last weekend, taking fifth and sixth respectively in the Spanish Championship event.
Both were involved in an exciting battle in front of current series leader Stefan Bradl, who later became embroiled in a duel against the young pretenders in the final stages of the race. Bradl eventually held on to beat the duo out. The other two Academy riders had a less successful day at the Spanish circuit, making their debut in the CEV Buckler. Patrick Jacobsen and Steven Le Coquen were both early retirees in the race.
