After suffering one of the most horrifying crashes in recent years at the Brno circuit two weeks ago, 250cc rider Taro Sekiguchi is thankfully on the mend.

The Japanese rider collided with Marco Simoncelli's prone bike during the Sunday warm up, projected forward 50m and round 360 degrees as he was unable to avoid the Italian's machine. The incident caused a delay to the schedule and some nervous moments for those awaiting news on the Campetella veteran's condition, with reports filtering in of a fractured pelvis suffered upon impact with the tarmac.

Out of a medically-induced sleep in the Brno hospital, the battle-scarred warrior of the quarter litre class is already planning his return at Motegi. In the meantime, Sekiguchi will be confined to a wheelchair and can expect a return to his residence city of Frankfurt within the next two weeks.
