American rider Stevie Bonsey continues his process of adaptation in his debut season roadracing.
This weekend American rider Stevie Bonsey will continue the process of adaptation in his debut roadracing season. The Red Bull KTM rider arrives in France for Sunday's 125cc race having suffered a crash in China two weeks ago, something that has caused him a few problems over the past few days.
"At Shanghai I was involved in a crash with another rider, and I hit my head in the incident. I'm sure that I'll be alright this weekend though," commented Bonsey.
The former dirt-track rider notes that Le Mans presents a different challenge to the previous four tracks with which he has had to familiarise himself, but remains confident that he can take something from the race. The rookie also reiterated the changes he has had to make after switching to road racing.
"It requires complete concentration. When I was dirtbike racing I could kind of switch off and almost daydream, but here I have to be fully focused all the time. The bike is great, so there are no problems adapting to that, just the tracks."
