Checa hoping for straight top speed at Mugello

The experienced Carlos Checa believes that, with the balance between bike and rider on the RC212V, he can overcome any lack of top speed on the straight in comparison with other 800cc machines to achieve great things at Mugello.
The experienced Carlos Checa believes that, with the balance between bike and rider on the RC212V, he can overcome any lack of top speed on the straight in comparison with other 800cc machines to achieve great things at Mugello.
The LCR Honda rider has hinted that, with a little help from HRC, a good race for the Spaniard will be on the cards at the Italian circuit. "We know that Mugello is a fast circuit with a very long straight, which means that power –not our strength at the moment- will be important. We hope that HRC can help us out, and we are going to work on setting up the bike to not lose so much time in a straight line," indicated Checa.
