One of Pramac dAntins new arrivals for 2008, Toni Elías, will undergo the latest assessment of his femur injury at a specialist centre in Barcelona early next week.

Following his high speed crash at Assen in June this year Elias had metallic supports place in his left thigh to hold together the broken femur and only missed three Grands Prix as a result of the miraculous work by his surgeons but eventually the metal will have to be removed during the course of the close season.

The 24 year-old Catalan rider will be examined on Monday by Dr. Xavier Mir who has monitored his recovery thus far and should Elias be deemed ready for surgery it will take place immediately.
