Nakagami to make 125cc debut in Valencia

The Gran Premio bwin.com de la Comunitat Valenciana is always an important occasion for the riders; a final chance of the year to show their skills, in front of packed grandstands in Spain's third city.

For one participant in the 125cc race in particular, November 4th will be a very special day in what is hoped will be a highly successful career.

Takaaki Nakagami, a 15 year-old hailing from Chiba in Japan, will make his World Championship debut at a track which he knows very well despite his youth. Nakagami is one of the standout riders chosen to be part of the Red Bull MotoGP Academy, a scheme supported by World Championship rights holders Dorna, and has already impressed in various national and regional championships.

Last year he became the youngest ever winner of the Japanese 125cc Championship, and he is currently sixth in the CEV Buckler Spanish series, where he is competing in his second year alongside his fellow Academy riders.

Nakagami has already experienced the view from the podium at Valencia, having taken third place in the CEV Buckler round held there in July. He will be riding a Honda machine for his 125cc Grand Prix debut at the Spanish circuit.
