Repsol Honda 125cc rider Esteve Rabat has been withdrawn from further participation in the Alice Grand Prix de France, following a crash suffered in yesterday's first qualifying session. Rabat was involved in a 204 km/h tumble along with Raffaele de Rosa and Valentin Debise at the end of the first straight, inflicting a fracture to the third metacarpal of his left hand.

Additional grazes on his elbow required stitches at the medical centre, and the decision was made to pull ‘Tito' from playing any further part in the weekend's action. The move comes as a blow to the Spaniard, who took his first ever World Championship podium two weeks ago in China.
