Yamaha Tech 3 newcomer James Toseland is proud to be flying the British flag in MotoGP in 2008, and yesterday unveiled a new home connection at the Claridge's hotel in London.

Toseland, who makes his debut in the World Championship this season, will be protected on-track by BKS leathers designed and manufactured in his homeland, something announced at a presentation in the heart of London's Mayfair district.

A renaissance man with a keen sense of style, aesthetics and safety go hand-in-hand on Toseland's list of necessities from his equipment. The former superbike champion was happy to pose in the new leathers, which he hopes will turn his rivals green with envy.

"They call the new BKS leathers the Saville Row suit of MotoGP, and I'm proud to be representing a British manufacturer in the World Championship," stated Toseland at the presentation. "The fit of the leathers is fantastic, and I know that they will give me the protection needed for racing in such a competitive sport. I want to stand alongside Valentino Rossi at the Sepang test and for him to ask me who made such fantastic leathers."

BKS are part of the Frank Thomas Group, and have been producing leathers since 1986. Toseland returns to riding, decked out in his new leathers, in Malaysia from January 22nd.
