With just over a month to go before what promises to be an exciting start to the 2008 MotoGP season, the ambitious lighting project at Losail International Circuit is progressing perfectly ahead of the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar, which will take place at night time on March 9th, 2008.

With just over a month to go before what promises to be an exciting start to the 2008 MotoGP season, the ambitious lighting project at Losail International Circuit is progressing perfectly ahead of the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar, which will take place at night time on March 9th, 2008.

The last floodlight post has now been installed at the Qatari track by US based firm Musco Lighting, meaning that the company's unique Mirtran lighting system is now in place for an historic first motorsports World Championship Grand Prix to be held at night.

Furthermore, night-time MotoGP testing sessions will take place at Losail for three days from 28th February, just over a week before the opening round of the season - where the Riders' Safety Commission will give a final stamp of approval to the project, following a previous test in November 2007.

The Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar will take place on March 9th, 2008.
