San Carlo Honda Gresini package unveiled in Milan

The San Carlo Honda Gresini team are the latest MotoGP outfit to officially unveil their 2008 line-up, holding a presentation at Italy's world famous San Siro stadium in Milan.

Present at the event were Team Manager Fausto Gresini and San Carlo President Alberto Vitaloni, in a celebration of a new livery, new title sponsor and two new riders in Shinya Nakano and Alex de Angelis. Both riders were also on hand to unveil the white Honda RC212V livery, a change from the all-black design used in preseason testing.

Having run the team without a title sponsor for the past two years, Gresini again expressed his delight with the addition of Italian crisp (potato chip) brand San Carlo to the satellite squadron's cause.

"We are ready for this new adventure," stated Gresini. "We are supported by this new, important sponsor, which for the first time becomes a main sponsor in the MotoGP Championship."

"We believe that our riders, De Angelis and Nakano, are the perfect pairing: Alex is young, but ready for the top class, whilst Shinya has ridden for Kawasaki and Honda and therefore has lots of experience. Moreover, we can say we are one the most "Japanese" teams in the paddock, so I think that Shinya will feel at home."

The new livery will get its first outing at this weekend's Official Test in Jerez, at which San Carlo Gresini Honda are expected to receive the latest version of the Japanese factory's engine.
